IGCSE in German (4375) : Notice
Edexcel is constantly reviewing its qualifications to ensure that they are appropriate and relevant for international centres.
Following a recent review, Edexcel has decided to withdraw IGCSE German (4375) as the entries for this subject are very low.
Centres are asked to note that the final examination date for IGCSE German (4375) will be November 2010. There will be no opportunity to re-sit the examination for the subject after that date.
International centres currently entering candidates for Edexcel IGCSE German will be able to enter for Edexcel GCSE German (1231). The Edexcel GCSE in German offers positive and appropriate assessment for German language learners and provides opportunities to develop and apply language skills across a range of relevant contexts. The specification contains optional coursework. Please note that the GCSE German specification is currently being revised for first teaching in September 2009 and first assessment in 2011.
