All of us have felt compassion for those caught up by the terrible tragedy that struck many Asian countries on December 26th. Edexcel has confirmed the safety of its staff in Asia, but it is probable that both they and our students have relatives who have been directly affected by Tsunami activity in the region. To everyone concerned we offer our sincere condolences.

Examinations are due to start internationally this month. Where schools across Asia have been affected we are making provision to apply special consideration for students' work, where applicable, and will be in touch with centres shortly.
