26/08/2004    International students get online exam guidance

As students throughout the world receive their UK examination results this month, a new website providing international students with essential exam and post results information and guidance has been launched by UK awarding body Edexcel International.

International Examzone, www.international.examzone.org provides students with advice on a variety of topics such as how best to revise, what to do when results are received, how the Universities & Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) manage results and a guide to the university clearing process.  There is also a helpline, allowing students to post their queries on an email.

Ian Reed, General Manager at Edexcel International, said: “International Examzone is a valuable resource for the thousands of international students who take our exams each year.  It is important students and parents know the processes of the examination system and have access to information.”

The International site was developed following the success of a website aimed at UK students, which attracts over 40,000 hits per month.

“We wanted to provide our international students with a site of their own, so the information is directly relevant to them” added Ian Reed.

International Examzone has been developed with students, parents and exam officers and can be found at www.international.examzone.org
