A CD ROM will soon be available which presents student work and support material for the GCSE Art and Design course. We are sending this to centres who are currently offering Edexcel GCSE Art and Design Specifications.

The disc focuses on work from six students who have completed the course along with supporting background information.

The student work is intended to be used as examples of the varied approaches that might be taken by centres to plan and implement the new GCSE Art and Design specifications.

Work from three different centres has been selected for exemplar purposes. This does not mean the work is necessarily 'fluent'; it has been selected to demonstrate a range of student background and ability, varied approaches to projects and very different centre resource bases.
 

On the CD ROM you will find:

• Moving images where students talk about their work
• Stills and details of individual pieces
• Bullet points of the main assessment objectives covered in the work
• Voice-over and written commentary giving further qualitative analysis.

Copies of the CD will be despatched to centres in the Autumn term.
